We were honored to be chosen as the company to contract with Omaha by Design and Art+Infrastructure to complete this mural.  It is the design created by Sarah Rowe.  She used imagery of songbirds and starseeds and mythical trickster horses to celebrate life and nature.  You can listen to a poem about it here on Instagram or here on facebook

Artists who worked on this were:

Sarah Rowe, Richard Harrison, Zach Storz, Mike Giron, Benter Mock, Weston ThomsonAmelia Koneck, Holly Carey, Mary Ensz, and David Manzanares,

We pressure washed the silos, and repaired all damaged cement, primed it, and painted it with a UV protectant paint.

We look forward to more opportunities to engage in similar scale work.

The project took about 235 gallons of Primer and 374 gallons of paint to complete the project.  The silo mural is 120′ high and 240 feet long and the total square feet painted was 28,522.

Below are some of our progress photos, and you will see how we created random images on our prepped white walls, so that we could overlay the design on the doodles, and find the drawing we needed on the wall. This is what we call a “doodle grid.”
